The Swinging 7 band was formed several years ago. Its focus is on "swing
music," or as some people describe it, "big band music." The
band's library includes countless old favorites, with a nice blend
of songs that have been popular in more recent times. Adults, and
many younger generation people will remember and identify with such
tunes as Ain't Misbehavin', April in Paris, Harlem Nocturne, Jump
Jive An' Wail and many more. |

In addition the band enjoys entertaining audiences with a sprinkling
of Dixieland tunes, such as Tin Roof Blues, Coney Island Washboard,
Dixie Masquerade, and others. |

The Swinging 7 has played for a variety of functions in the Madison
area, including weddings, private parties, schools, picnics and banquets,
and has played in most of the area facilities for the elderly. |
